EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a technique that has been extensively researched and clinically-proven to be effective in treating psychological trauma. It is a powerful tool that can help you identify the underlying causes of distress, and resolve them. EMDR targets core emotional wounds, so that you can experience lasting change. EMDR is recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international mental health organizations as a foremost treatment for trauma, anxiety, addictions, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), phobias, grief, self-esteem issues, body issues, sexual dysfunction, and other issues.
Talk-therapy
Also sometimes called counselling, talk-therapy is a space dedicated for you to process and explore your thoughts. Clients sometimes start with talk-therapy if they are unsure about the type of treatment they would like to pursue. By actively listening and offering tailored support, I can guide you towards self-awareness and the change you desire. In our sessions, we'll collaboratively identify patterns and develop coping strategies tailored to your unique needs. Whether you're dealing with stress, relationship issues, or just want to grow as a person, talk-therapy can make a big difference.
Other therapies
You may be suited to another evidence-based approaches that are designed to support your mental health journey. Other psychotherapies include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These therapeutic techniques focus on changing your thoughts and behaviours in the now, rather than necessarily seeking to uncover and heal old trauma. These therapies are suitable for a range of issues, including stress management, addictions, substance abuse, eating issues, anxiety, panic, interpersonal problems, or challenges in making positive behavioral changes.

This is your first step in therapy, where we'll get to know each other and discuss your concerns. We'll explore your background, goals, and expectations to create a personalized treatment plan. Initial intake sessions are 75 mins in length.

Insurance.
As a global therapist, I serve clients from all around the world, which makes it difficult to accept insurance plans. However, I am pleased to provide detailed receipts for all services rendered. These can be submitted to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement, depending on your individual coverage.
